In celebration of World Environment Day, twenty organizations around the country have been recognized for their exemplary efforts in promoting sustainable and environment-friendly practices. They were awarded the Pakistan Environmental Awards in different categories aimed at acknowledging and appreciating the best environmental practices. The awards highlight the innovative approaches and significant contributions made by businesses, non-profits, and educational institutions towards preserving our planet for future generations.
Devecom-Pakistan organized the award ceremony with the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (PAK-EPA) and the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). Mira Power Limited has been recognized for its biodiversity conservation activities in Poonch River Mahseer National Park and awarded the Certificate of Performance for Corporate Ecosystem Responsibility. The award was distributed by former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Ambassador for Belgium Charles DeLonge.
