Gulpur Hydropower Project was inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on October 15, 2015.
Following groundbreaking, the Project has achieved overall 35% construction progress by completing construction camps, two diversion tunnels and 35 meters high concrete Cofferdam.
Work on power tunnels and earthworks is nearing completion. The foundation of the 66 meters high concrete gravity DAM was laid on January 19, 2017 in presence of senior representatives from Government of Pakistan, Government of AJ&K, Sponsors, IFC, ADB and other lenders.
On this occasion, Mira Power Limited would like to sincerely thank the honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Ministry of Water & Power, Private Power and Infrastructure Board (PPIB), Government of AJ&K for their excellent support in timely achieving these milestones.
