In connection with Pakistan Day (March 23rd), Korean sponsored IPPs demonstrated solidarity with people of Pakistan by holding two Friendly Tennis Tape Ball Cricket Matches. It was played between Mira Power Limited and Star Hydro (Both Korean sponsored IPPs) on March 22, 2013. The series won by MPL by 2-0.
The idea was of Mr. Kim, Jae Wang (CEO Mira Power Limited) and Mr. Park (CTO Star Hydro). Mr. Nasir Ahmad (Administration Officer MPL) and Jawad (Manager Accounts Star Hydro) organized the series along-with refreshment and prize ceremony.
In first match Star Hydro while batting first scored 41 runs in 6 overs which were easily chased by MPL team in 3rd over.
In second match MPL team while batting first scored 65 runs in 6 overs. From MPL side Mr. Kim, Jae Wang and Nadim opened the bat. Mr. Nadim scored 45 runs with 6 sixes. Mr. Kim, Kyung Man of MPL came to play as second down batsman and remained not-out. The second match was very entertaining for players and audience. Players of both the teams put their best efforts to win the match. On second last ball of match Mr. Sultan Ahmad of MPL stopped a clear boundary which caused victory to MPL. MPL won this match on last ball by 5 runs.
From MPL side Mr. Israr remained prominent bowler in both the matches. Mr. Nadim (Captain of MPL Team) scored a total of 64 runs in two matches with 9 sixes and remained prominent batsman of the series.
In the end winning cup ceremony coupled with lottery prizes was held. Senior management of both the IPPs appreciated the efforts of organizers and presented prizes to the winners. The series was lasted on wining cup presented by Mr. Park to MPL Team Captain.
